Manage notification settings

Control routine notifications and choose cost-aware delivery when operational changes affect booked customers.

In this guide

Choose events and recipients

  1. Open Settings > Appointment notifications, or search for reminder SMS in Settings to reach notification preferences.

  2. Enable or disable event types by channel.

  3. Confirm who receives operational alerts internally.

  4. Review templates and ensure business branding is correct.

Check delivery and replies

  1. Set Reply-to email to the address clients should see and use. Keep Business notification email for internal staff alerts.

  2. Send a test notification and verify delivery.

  3. Appointment requests, confirmations, status changes, recurring-series summaries, reminders, and invoices include a personal client-portal action for the relevant section. Test each enabled lifecycle message with a non-staff account.

Time off and feedback

  1. For appointment-affecting time off, open Team > Time off and choose Email, SMS, or Email + SMS during the absence review. This operational choice is made per case so the business can balance urgency, reach, and SMS cost.

  2. Review the estimated billable SMS and remaining allowance before sending, then monitor each customer’s delivery status from Team > Time off.

  3. Update settings after service or workflow changes.

  4. Feedback surveys have their own Email surveys and SMS surveys controls in Customer Feedback → Survey settings. Check queued surveys and delivery errors in Notifications. SMS surveys use operational SMS controls and allowances, while promotional marketing campaigns are billed separately.
