1. What this policy covers
Schedmo uses cookies, browser storage and similar technologies on our website, booking pages and platform. These technologies can remember information, maintain a secure session, measure performance and help features work as expected.
A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser. Local storage serves a similar purpose but is stored differently. In this policy, “cookies” includes both where the distinction does not affect your choice.
2. Technologies we use
| Category | Purpose | Choice |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Authentication, session continuity, security, fraud prevention, load balancing and recording your cookie choice. | Always active because the requested service cannot work securely without them. |
| Functional storage | Remembers settings such as pricing region, active workspace and interface preferences on your device. | Used to provide a setting or feature you request. You can clear it in your browser. |
| Analytics | Helps us understand page views, feature use and signup or booking journeys so we can improve Schedmo. | Optional. These tools load only after you choose “Accept”. |
3. Optional analytics
When analytics are enabled, Schedmo may use Google Analytics 4 and PostHog. We configure product analytics conservatively: automatic interaction capture and session recording are disabled. Events may include a page path, page title and labels for actions such as viewing pricing, starting signup or opening a help article.
We do not intentionally include names, email addresses, phone numbers, client or patient content, notes, addresses, invite tokens or payment details in analytics events. Analytics providers may still receive technical information such as an IP address, browser details and device identifiers.
Google and PostHog process information under their own privacy terms. Analytics data may be processed outside Australia, including in the United States.
4. How long technologies remain
Some technologies last only for the browser session. Others persist so a setting can be remembered. Schedmo’s cookie-consent cookie is set for up to 180 days, and the same preference may be held in local storage. Authentication, security, functional and analytics storage have different lifetimes based on their purpose and provider settings.
You can remove persistent cookies and local storage at any time using your browser controls. Doing so may sign you out, reset preferences or cause the cookie banner to appear again.
5. Your choices
On our public website, choose “Essential only” to prevent optional analytics from loading, or “Accept” to allow them. Rejecting analytics does not prevent you from using core Schedmo features.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking strictly necessary storage may affect sign-in, security, checkout and other requested functionality. Browser controls vary, so refer to the help information for the browser or device you use.
6. Third-party services
If you choose a connected service or leave Schedmo for a third-party checkout or integration, that provider may set its own cookies. For example, payment and accounting services may use cookies to authenticate users, prevent fraud and complete a requested connection. Their policies govern those technologies.
7. Updates and contact
We may update this policy when our technology, providers or legal obligations change. The effective date above shows the latest revision.
Questions about cookies or privacy can be sent to privacy@schedmo.com.
