Migration
Prepare a Timely data export
Request Timely’s supported export bundle, preserve its source files, and prepare each dataset for a traceable Schedmo migration.
Follow the guide
Step by step
- 1
Ask Timely support for the business data export and provide the required delivery date. Timely advises that a request may take up to 48 hours.
- 2
Download every file from Timely’s customer data-sharing site. Timely currently identifies Clients, Appointments, Services, Client Notes, Products, and Product Purchases as the exportable bundle.
- 3
Keep the untouched files together with the export request date, Timely account name, included locations, source timezone and currency, and the person who obtained the export.
- 4
In Schedmo, select Timely and confirm whether all six files were supplied. Select only the datasets the business expects Schedmo to migrate, while recording any deliberate exclusions.
- 5
Import Clients first. Map Timely’s stable client identifier when present, plus email and phone, so dependent files can attach to the correct person without unsafe name-only matching.
- 6
Import Services before team members and appointments. Review duration and prices explicitly; do not assume that missing amounts or durations mean zero.
- 7
Map Products to inventory and use Product Purchases only where its rows represent supported historical sales. Refunds, adjustments, discounts, tips, gift cards, memberships, and split payments require dedicated review.
- 8
Treat reward points, custom fields, consent history, attachments, saved cards, complex recurring or group bookings, and other data without a lossless Schedmo target as controlled exclusions or concierge work.
- 9
Run server validation for every file and resolve duplicate identities, missing dependencies, invalid dates, and financial differences before importing.
- 10
Reconcile all selected Timely datasets and business totals, import a final delta after the Timely freeze window, then approve the migration and switch public links.
